Avril Ramona Lavigne who is a singer-songwriter, fashion designer, philanthropist, and actress was born on September 27, 1984 in Belleville, Ontario. Avril became known in the music industry when she debut her album Let Go in 2002.
Avril Lavigne had appeared on stage with Shania Twain when she was 15 years old. By 16, she had her two-album recording contract with Arista (RCA Records) worth over $2 million.
She is the first female soloist that reaches Top 1 in the UK. The Recording Industry Association of America certified her album, Let Go, four-time platinum. The album sold 16 million copies worldwide. Her first single Complicated, topped number one in different countries throughout the world. Her second album Under My Skin was released in 2004 peaked number one on the U.S. Billboard 200.

She dyed her hair blond and put a pink streak on it. Lavigne has moved on in to healthy diet, she even went to athletic activities such as street hockey, yoga, soccer, surfing and rollerblading.
As for the songstress’ love life, she had her marriage to Deryck Whibley in July 2006. Deryck is a lead singer and guitarist in for the band Sum 41. He surprised Avril with a trip to Venice. He proposed to Avril in the said place where they had a romantic picnic and a gondola ride.
Avril and Deryck had her wedding in a private estatein Montecito, California in July 15, 2006. The couple had about 110 guests in their wedding. Lavigne initially want to have a gothic wedding, however, she thought that she will go against the tradition if she used goth as her motif. Lavigne had worn her wedding gown that was designed by Vera Wang.
On February 2010, she performed in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics closing ceremony, she performed My Happy Ending and Girlfriend in the said ceremony.
